S.O.A.D. - My Latest Obsession

Ok, I know that to obsess on anything is not healthy but for some reason I am hooked on this band like a friggin' drug addict. Those crazy Armenians have sucked me in like a plague and I can't seem to get enough. With that said, imagine how horrified I was when the show sold out in less than an hour the day before I even knew they were coming! OMG! Now what to do to get my live fix!?! Well after a few tears and a mild panic attack, I gathered my bearings and decided that I would not be defeated so easily. I immediately logged on to Ebay to see what was available so I could get my ass to the show and mosh it up with the rest of the headbangers. Much to my dismay, there were plenty of tickets but OH MY HELL - the cost was insane! What is a poor (literally) girl to do for a few hours of asskicking entertainment?? Feeling a bit nauseous after seeing the Ebay ticket prices, I decided to give up and just listen to the cd's over and over like it was the first time everytime I pressed the play button - kinda like Drew Barrymore in 50 First Dates when she made her family watch the same movie a million times because she couldn't remember and being totally happy about it every time. THEN - all of a sudden I hear that the DMV is sending out rebate checks to people who registered a vehicle in 2004. Could this be true? I had 2 vehicles at the time so that would mean free money twice! The local news said to log onto the DMV website to check on your rebates, so I did and what do you know?! 2 checks for me! YAY!!! You know what that means, right?! Back to Ebay - quickly! There were still plenty of tickets available but I decided to play it smart and watch the auctions for a few days. Now for the happy ending - after much patience as well as persistence, I scored a ticket at a reasonable price and I still have some cash left over for a shirt if I want one! I will be going to the show alone but that's ok, I've gone to a concert by myself before and had a great time. I know it can be very satisfying to do something you really enjoy all by yourself. Needless to say, after all the headbanging to be had, I just hope I emerge from the pit unscathed. Think my chances are good? Naw, me neither! In any event, maybe it will be just what I need to break this addiction of mine so I can have more time to fixate myself on other things. Let's see...like Disturbed maybe?? Hmm...wonder when they're coming to town - LOL!
