In Memory

Here we have the face of an angel. We knew him as G or the Gee Man. This picture was taken at my birthday party last Saturday and just a few days later, he was gone. G was a fixture at our favorite karaoke bar. Think of Norm from the tv show Cheers. G liked to hang out with his bar friends and watch football and once in a while he would get up and sing along with some of his buddies on karaoke night. He had a big heart. He was mostly quiet. He liked to cook. He was a good listener. He didn't judge. He accepted everyone as they were and never said a bad word about anyone. When I would go into the bar, I would go up to G and give him a big hug and a kiss on the cheek. He would call me his girl and ask how I was doing. He joked about how he knew that I had a boyfriend but that he didn't mind waiting. He was one of the sweetest people I have ever met. It is hard to understand why someone like G would be taken before the rest of us. He was a genuine, good kind soul. A big loveable teddy bear. Now he's watching over us. Even though we will miss him, his presence will always be felt. We will all continue to celebrate life. That's what G would have wanted. See you later Gee Man!

G's obituary listed in the local newspaper - CLARK, GERALD
Gerald D. Clark, 39, of Las Vegas, died Aug. 30, 2006. He was a telephone technician. He is survived by his daughters, Kaija and Brandi, both of Anaheim, Calif.; and mother, Barbara Jean Clark-Green of North Las Vegas. Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 5, with services to follow, both at Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Interment will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angeles.

Rest in peace my friend.
