Birthday Getaway
Here we go -
These pix were way too big and took forever to load so I'll keep it short and sweet. Dave took me camping the weekend of my birthday and here are some of the things we did.
Us cuddling in our tent. It sure was cozy!
Mount Trumbull Schoolhouse in Arizona.
Dave on the edge of a Toroweep cliff at the Grand Canyon. I got close enough to see all the way down and that was good enough for me!
Our campsite at Toroweep the first night. No trees on our spot but it turned out for the best since we got some rain. It was also pretty hot there too so as we sat at our table watching our neighbors bake in the heat and get rained on, we were thankful for the shade and shelter of our campspot. Don't underestimate a campsite with no trees!!
Me in a tree at our neighbor's campsite at Toroweep after they left in the morning.
Big John's Flat is the campsite we stayed at in Beaver, Utah the next couple of days. The elevation made me feel great!!! Lots of good oxygen which we aren't used to in the smelly city.
Me at our campsite at Big John's Flat. Much much colder than Toroweep!
Look, a Bambi!!!
Look, a herd of Bambis!!
On the way home we drove through Panguitch, Utah. When I was a kid, my family and I would go fishing there and stay in the cool cabins. This is a pic of the Rustic Lodge. I haven't seen it in almost 30 years!!!!!!
Cabin # 6
This is the cabin that Dave and I picked out as our favorite for a future camping trip.
This is another lodge in Panguitch. It wasn't open for business but Dave and I sat at a table out front and had our own picnic lunch.
I have alot more pictures of our little getaway but like I said, they are too big and take to long to post so I just put up a few of my favorites. We had a blast though. Everything was so beautiful. And now it's back to reality.....again.
