Chikka Chikka Ooh Ooh!!

That's the sound the drunk bear makes around the campfire. Yep, President's Day weekend has come and gone but it didn't pass us by. The bear and coon headed out on another adventure and this time it was back to the Dumont dunes. Along with Mike and 3 additional trucks with friends in tow, we headed out for 2 days and 2 nights with tents, quads and the other woman in Dave's life who he refers to as Sandy Rail.

Here we have our party peeps gettin set up for some good time campin' and ridin'. As you can see, the dust was thick as people zoomed by our campsite on their assorted toys.

Chef Mike was nice enough to lend his cheesy ass grill talent and concoct us some very tasty fried sandwiches. These were to be our fuel for the nightime festivites to come.

President's Day weekend is bigtime for the dunes and along with thousands of people, there were extra vendors on hand to provide everyone with food, drink, shirts and accessories. Here I am sporting a crafty little piece of headwear. Dave calls this picture Coon In The Hat.

Now here we have a very unflattering photo of one of our party guys. I don't remember his real name because everyone calls him Cornfed. Along with his younger brother, Cornfed brought some extra firewood for the campsite.

And here it is. The extra wood turned out to be 2 doors and they went up in flames very quickly and made a nice mess as the outer layer turned into an ash blizzard from hell. Our new tent suffered a small burn hole before the storm was over.

I mentioned that Cornfed had a younger brother. Well here he is in all his glory. Everyone in our group pretty much has a nickname but this was a new kid so we decided that before the weekend was over he would have one as well. I figured that since he was the younger brother of Cornfed that the obvious name should be Niblet. Well this kid wanted a much cooler name so we decided to put him to the test. We let him do his thing and so he proceeded to get wasted and start a huge blazin' ass fire. Someone mentioned the name Pyro and that seemed to make him happy. Unfortunately for him, Pyro ended up getting sick that night and puked in his tent. Then he woke up the next day and puked some more. He could barely move and as the rest of us went about our day he kept on with the dry heaving until Cornfed packed him up and took him home. Not so cool and not so worthy of the name Pyro. Alas, Niblet it was.

Well we had a great time but the ride home was long and frustrating. It started raining and the next thing you know, traffic came to a slow crawl. After about an hour of bumper to bumper inching along the highway, we finally found out what was prolonging our trip. It wasn't pretty.

I can only hope that the person or persons in this truck were wearing their seatbelts and came out of it ok.

Whatever type of hauler they were towing however, did not. As you can see it looked like a tornado hit it as it sat in pieces along the highway.

We were fortunate to make it home in all the rain and mess and now we just wait for the next opportunity to pack up and head out again. I know I'm ready!
