Good Times

Well let's see.... Turkey Day came and went. I had a 4 day weekend and we whipped up all the fixins for a yummy Thanksgiving dinner. My sister came down from L.A. and joined me and mom and my boyfriend Dave and his family at my house for the big feast. Mom made her green jello stuff and Dave's brother Steve brought his banana pudding. Yum! There were 13 of us for dinner and afterward we enjoyed some spirits and a night of karaoke. Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures of Thanksgiving but we had a great time. Dave's brother Jim was a singing machine and we even got the youngsters Jimmy and Anthony to sing us an Afroman tune.
Anthony is quite the upcoming musician. He plays bass and drums and loves hard rock and metal music. You'd think I gave birth to him myself. Ok, so I don't play any instruments but I loves me some hard rock music! We bonded over the karaoke version of Slipknot's "Wait and Bleed." The days afterward consisted of a second turkey dinner at Dave's sister Brenda's house and then hanging out with mom and my 2 big sisters for mom's birthday. Mom was born on Thanksgiving day but this year her birthday was 2 days later. We had a girls night out at a local casino where we ate, drank and played some of the penny machines. We had a fun time and now that it's over I guess we'll have to see what Christmas brings. Oofa, count down the days.........Next will be my company Christmas party and then my annual Friend's Holiday Dinner. Hopefully I'll get some pics then. Here's a few from girl's night out -

Did I mention that mental retardation runs in our family? Heh.

Bye for now sis, come back soon!!

Boycott Lifted

Well my week ended up not being very exciting at all. In fact, it was rather stressful as things at work are slowing down and I'm seeing my coworkers getting laid off and wondering if I'm going to be next on the chopping block. So far however, my time card has remained intact. I guess only time will tell.

Even after a depressing work week, I did manage to have a great weekend. My friend Tiffany who we were boycotting for not making it to my birthday party finally came to town with her husband Jack. Tiff has always been my karaoke pal and I miss her a great deal but her and Jack are doing much better in New Mexico than they ever did out here so I am happy for them both.

Tiff getting jiggy.

Jack singing about a Boy Named Sue.

Next time maybe I'll remember to use the flash on my camera - heh.

Be safe my friends, I'll see ya later!

Happy Monday

Yeah, another Monday. My weekend was rather uneventful which isn't necessarily a bad thing since the holidays are right around the corner. My Saturdays for the next month are booked solid so I guess I won't feel guilty for spending most of last Saturday and all of Sunday sitting on my couch and finishing up the first 2 seasons of Six Feet Under and various Star Trek Voyager episodes. I did however, manage to wash my sheets and blankets and do some dishes so there was some actual physical mobility for about an hour and a half. Anyway, that's about it. I figured since I'm back at work now with hardly anything to do but stare at my computer, I would blog a bit and post a nice pic of me and Dave. Perhaps the coming week will be a little more interesting. Have a good week! Peace out!

Halloween 2006 - Fri Night

Well after many failed attempts which happens more often than not, I finally got my pictures to load. Our Halloween partying started Friday night at Julie's house where I was reunited with my friend Jenn whom I haven't seen in forever since she is a mommy of 2 and lives across town from me. It was so awesome to see her, we had alot of good times partying in the past and this party brought all those fun memories back. I recycled my costumes from last year so here I am as a goth witch with Jenn as a sexy cop.

Deviled Egg Dave and the goth witch. WTF is up with my hand!?!! Oh well, heh.

Jenn busting Rainbow Brite! Get her Jenn!

Me and Mike, the Chinese Takeout guy. He even came complete with fortune cookies to pass out to the party goers.

Jenn and hubby Ray as the Zombie.

Gummy fangs are both fun AND tasty!

Hostess Julie with me, Jenn and friend Cheney.

I don't remember this guy's name but he was cute as hell so I had to include him in my post. He would make a fine addition to the hawt rock sandwich!

Well I have many more pix but as usual I had to pick my favs since I wanted to get these on here before I start collecting social security. Let's move on to Saturday, shall we??

Sat Night Halloween Party

Dave was invited by a friend to this house party on Saturday and man was it packed! This guy took our top vote for fav costume as the creepy psycho from the Saw movies. Good job dude!

Here I am as the goth bride.

Dave decided to do something a little different this year. He put on his Mc Donald's french fry guy costume, added a gi-normous afro wig and went as Soul Food! Here he is taking a pic of himself for all of us to see.

This party came complete with a band and......

A sushi chef!!!

This guy made his costume out of solid wood. Now don't you think you would be in pain sportin' that kind of wood all night? (heh) Anyway, judging by the alcohol I smelled on his breath from across the room, I'm pretty certain he was feeling no pain at all.

Where are those dastardly dalmations?! I have no comment on the rasta basketball player. LOL!

I decided to end this post 80's style. Yeah, whip it good!

Sat Night Halloween Pt. 2

After the house party we headed over to our neighborhood karaoke bar to hang out with some of our friends and participate in the costume contest. Here we have Soul Food, Chinese Takeout Guy and the Goth Bride.

I kinda felt comfortable in black lipstick. Is that so wrong?!

Jason clowning around in the world's tallest afro. You didn't see that in the 70's!!

Our friends Jared & Teri. Jared was dressed up as a whoopie cushion but we thought that next year maybe he could add a nozzle and go as a douche bag - LMAO!

This guy took 1st place in the costume contest. His bird even had a motor and fan inside to keep him cool.

Now I don't know if it's fair but bartender Rena took 2nd place with her Madonna/Like A Virgin/Bride getup. All she was missing was the Boy Toy belt but made up for it in sexiness. You go girl!

Bartender Kathy B was one hawt mama in her devil costume. Hail Satan!

Holly and her boyfriend went as Raggedy Ann and Andy. I don't know about you, but I'd lay money down that Raggedy Ann could beat Andy's ass any day!

Tawna as the sexy vampiress.

Tawna's boyfriend Brian and me. Gotta love a man in uniform!

Well that's it for Halloween 2006. Oh and in case you're wondering, there was a 3rd place winner in the costume contest. He wore a Mc Donald's french fry guy outfit and the world's tallest afro. I guess you can never go wrong with Soul Food! Outie!
