Feeding Your Addiction

Let's see....what can I interest you in today? Yeah, I'm talking to you. Yes you. Stop looking over your shoulder. You don't have to pretend you're not here reading this. You don't have to pretend that I don't know you keep coming back. No need to think you've gotten one over on me because you haven't. It's ok though. It's no big deal. If you like I can humor you and play along but seriously, If I really cared I wouldn't be here either. So if it helps keep your boat afloat go ahead and read on. Keep coming back if it gives some kind of meaning to your boring uneventful life. I'll stick around for a while. Maybe you can give me some fresh ideas. Perhaps some topics that you would like me to talk about. Something you can relate to. I'm up for suggestions. How about I give you a few days to ponder over it? You can submit any ideas by email. Any one of my addys that you didn't think I knew you had will be fine. Oh and that one thing - yeah, I know you know about that too and a few other things as well. Don't worry, I won't tell. Your "secret" is safe with me. If I don't hear from you then I will just resume my usual ranting and posting. Maybe that is all you really need anyway. I just figured I'd give you a chance to participate instead of just sitting there alone and creeping back ever so slyly (not) to get your fix. In any event, with or without your participation, I choose to continue. For what you don't realize is that though I may be here for your amusement, you are here for mine as well.

My New Anthem

Hell and Consequences - Stone Sour

I’m not a victim till I let you take me down. I'm not a target at the sites of your mercy, I never asked for anything, I'm not asking now. I will not be afraid, I will not be afraid!

I've done this on my own and I don’t care what you do to me, I won't hand over what is mine. I've done this for too long, to let you take it away from me, it's to late to stop me cause I refuse to die!

I haven't weakened just because I've shown myself. I've taken everything, except what's for granted, I'll leave hypocrisy for everybody else. I will not be afraid, I will not be afraid!

I've done this on my own and I don’t care what you do to me, I won't hand over what is mine. I've done this for too long, to let you take it away from me, it's to late to stop me cause I refuse to die!

I’m not a problem until you make one out of spite. I'll give you hell and consequences for trying, if you don’t want an enemy, DON’T F**K WITH MY LIFE! I will not be afraid, I will not be afraid!

I've done this on my own and I don’t care what you do to me, I won't hand over what is mine. I've done this for too long, to let you take it away from me, it's to late to stop me cause I refuse to die!

I've done this on my own and I don’t care what you do to me, I won't hand over , I won't hand over what is mine. I've done this for too long, to let you take it away from me. It's to late to stop me cause I refuse - I refuse…... to die. I refuse to die!!

Holiday Rundown

I finally got some pics from the holidays. I had to pick and choose once again so here we are. First I'd like to say Happy New Year to everyone who happens to read this. Really. I'm serious. See my hat?

Photo master Dave didn't do much of a job taking pictures at Thanksgiving so I only have these 2 pics to post. I figured there was no need to show the one of the food on the table since it was just your basic traditional set up. My sister was in town (that's her seated) and Dave's family as well as my mom stuffed our bellies and had some karaoke fun. Dave's brother in law Teddy is on the mic and Dave's brother Jim is in the background.

Here we have Dave's sister Brenda and hubby Teddy dancing it up while Jim sings a country tune. Brenda and Teddy are experienced line dancers and have won numerous medals and awards for their talent. I however, am not so talented when it comes to dancing so I decided I was better off playing kj and enjoying a tasty beverage. Go happy feet!

After Thanksgiving was my company Christmas party. Here are a few of my favorite pics from that night. Me and 2 cute warehouse boys Brett and Bryce. It doesn't get much better than this!

Here's me and my gal pal Laura. We used to work together and now I work with her hubby. I sure miss our margarita lunches though. I think we're way past due Laura! Time for some enchiladas and girl gossip! Call me!

This might possibly be the cutest damn picture ever. My warehouse boy and my studly boyfriend. Nice. I could stare at it all day. Oh wait, it's on my computer so I guess I pretty much do!

Yep, there was karaoke too!

And we just keep on going - Next was the friend's holiday dinner at my house. Unfortunately the pics were too dark and having to lighten and edit them would take too much time so I decided not to mess with it. The holidays are over anyway. I did have to post this one of our dinner table though. Isn't it pretty?! Remember my holiday rant about dinner tables and napkins? If your answer is yes then give yourself an A+. That means you pay attention and retain information well. If your answer is no, the little yellow slow bus will arrive shortly to collect you and your short term memory.

The fishmas tree was back in full force! Dave helped me decorate the house beautifully. You'll have to take my word for it though. Trust me it was nice. Ask anyone who was there. Heh.

Ahhhh, Sandyclaus. Who wouldn't want to sit on that lap?!
No other pics to post on this event. That's ok though. We still have New Years.

Yeah! New Years Eve keggar! 3 live bands! Much fun to be had! Let's kick it off from the beginning. Me & Bren with our first beers of the night.

Dave and Mike looking glorious in their New Years get ups.

Steve looking festive (not) and flashing his gang sign. Only computer geeks know what it means. LOL!

Add in Erica and you have 3 chicks ready for party mode!

The yard was set up perfect. Fire pits to keep us warm and plenty of party people waitin' to ring in the new year.

Erica and Chrysti. Chrysti was the hostess of the evening and her boyfriend Michael's band Highwire was the evening's headliner.

He's baaaaaack! Adrian Ace looking fantastically fab as usual. What a character! Clothes hound Chrysti was a bit peeved that Adrian was sportin' a cooler jacket than she was. Hee! Don't worry Chrysti, you always find a way to dazzle us with your fashion expertise!

Are we getting a little krunky now? It's about time! There's still a countdown though. Let's try and keep our eyes open.

Um, I said let's try to keep our eyes OPEN!

And the headliner is ready to rock our asses off! Our friend David and I made a beeline for the front of the stage.

Steve is the lead singer for Highwire and after the countdown he brought the house down with some old school metal. It sure brought back some high school memories!

The other 2 bands were entertaining as well but with too many pics to post, I decided to stick with Highwire. Here we have Levi and Michael jamming on some chords.

This girl thought I was cute and rescued me after I fell on my ass. I don't remember falling on my ass nor do I remember her planting one on me after she picked me up but my boyfriend witnessed it and was nice enough to tell me about it the next day. I don't know her name but I must have been grateful for her rescue because I showed my appreciation by letting her hold me up. So here's a shout out to my New Years admirer! Thanks for everything! LOL

Aside from me being kissed by a girl, there were other exciting goings on in our group. Brenda and Mike were just as wasted as I was. I decided to spare us their drunk pics out of respect. LMAO. Anyway, here's something special -

Brian proposed to Erica that night!!!

Holy crap!!! Did that really happen???

Yep, it sure did! Congrats you guys! I love you! *sniff*

Well that pretty much sums up New Years 2007. Drunkards Brenda and Mike wandered away from the party and left behind 2 very important things. Me and Dave! Thank gawd our friend David was still there and made sure we got home safely. I lost quite a few hours that night as well as Mike and Bren so at least I wasn't alone in my stupor of all stupors. I'm gonna leave you all with a pic of Dave wishing us all with his finger a very Happy New Year. Can't wait to see what 2007 has to bring!

Thick & Thin

Well here we are at the end of our first week of 2007 and looking back at all the shizz I'd been through in 2006, I can say at least one thing remained consistant. My friendship with Brenda. We've known each other for over 10 years now and the funny thing about it is that I was actually a friend of her ex boyfriend before they started dating. As it turned out, my friendship with her blossomed while my frienship with him went down the toilet. No big loss. Anyway, here we are many years later and still thick as theives. During all those years we have both endured alot of heartache and disappointment. We've laughed, cried and pissed each other off but we have always been there for each other. We've shared similar experiences and similar pain and that sets us apart from our other mutual friends. She swears she's my best friend but I won't give her the satisfaction of agreeing with her. Afterall, she's just a bitch. So here it is - shout out to my hooker skank! Let's see what kind of crap we can get ourselves into this year! Love ya! xoxo

1st Post of 2007

Well here it is. The first hump day of the year and this is what we women demand. Ok, some men too. I ain't hatin'.

Did you all have a good New Years? I was told I had a blast. We went to a keg party with 3 bands and one of my friends who will remain nameless decided the motto for the evening was "whatever" and made a beeline for the shots of Captain Morgan about 15 minutes into the evening's festivities. Some of us followed suit. Well needless to say I (and a few others in our group) do not remember the countdown at midnight or much of anything afterward. Apparantly there was not just mucho drinko but mucho drunken antics as well. I won't go into details but let's just say some of us aren't very proud of our behavior. Perhaps something to think about as we ponder over New Year's resolutions.

All in all however, it was a New Years celebration that many will be talking about for months to come and others will keep struggling to remember. In my case, the struggle continues - heh.

Peace out and Happy New Year!

xoxo -D.
